Cantilena Voices

Cantilena Voices was founded in September 2010 with the aim of bringing together female singers sing together, perform in concerts raise money for good causes whilst having fun!

Cantilena Voices' repertoire is varied and includes 'classic' pop, songs from the shows, inspirational songs, a little bit of gospel with a sprinkling of more classical pieces.

The choir perform at least two concerts along with other appearances throughout the year and are proud to say that the proceeds from all our concerts are donated to local charities.

This year we are supporting local children's bereavement charity, Mosaic.  You can find out more information on our charity page.

Please keep an eye on our events page for what is coming up this year.

Our Choir

Cantilena Voices is an established choir based in Corfe Mullen. The choir rehearse regularly throughout the year, under the direction of Sheila Dursley, putting on a number of concerts to raise money for local charities.

In March 2022, we competed in the New Milton Music Festival, and were awarded a trophy for the Sacred Song Class singing Et in Terra Pax by John Purifoy and Gratius Agimus by Lon Beery.

We'd love to welcome you to our very friendly choir. Rehearsals are currently at St Nicholas' Church in Corfe Mullen every Thursday evening during term time. We meet at 7.15 pm for a 7.30 pm start and sing until 9.00 pm. Do get in touch via our contact page if you'd like to come along.

"Being part of Cantilena Voices brings a sense of belonging, acheivement, pride, euphoria after a concert and lots of fun."  Peggy

"The choir for me is a time I can spend with like-minded ladies, coming together to forget the stresses of the day to sing and just be." Helen

"Singing is good for the soul, the memory and mood as well as a source of plenty of laughter and challenges.  The support and companionship of other choir members is very special." Hilary

"I love singing as part of our choir community as we share our passion for music, enjoy friendship together and benefit from the positive health and well-being that singing can bring."  Marie
